Have you been receiving hints? I certainly did, to the point my nerves nearly gave it all away. I wont let this happen to you!
We know that planning is the hardest part. It's nerve-wracking and the ring proposal is over within 5 minutes. Lets turn those jitters and hard to decide ideas into something spectacular. We have your back! Remember this is your special day, so try and put your own spin on these romantic and creative wedding proposal ideas.
Your ideas can be plan and simple, or you may like to plan something super unique that truly captures your relationship and love for your partner. There is no right or wrong!
If you have the money and want to go the extra mile to capture the moment, i would highly recommend a photographer, like i did.
10 Steps to help you plan a Romantic Engagement:

1.Choosing the Ring: you need to love the ring as much as the person you are getting engaged to! it comes down to individual taste. There is no right or wrong! (if you have a partner like mine she will send you a picture of the ring every second day).
2. Choosing the date: Is there a special date near by that you had in mind? Maybe a memory attached to the date? Just a few ideas to get you started.
But before you get to set on a date, you need to decide on a venue or location and make sure it is available first!
3. Location: choosing the location can be very difficult. i would suggest picking the place you have always dreamt of seeing or one that your partner and you visit quite often. Whether it's a waterfall, mountain, restaurant, walking track or your lounge room floor. If it is of personal significant to you than choose it.
(Below images is our location, at Freycinet Lodge, Tasmania. Our own private jetty overlooking the water, eating a 3 course meal, while watching the sunset).
4. Design/theme: Your partner may be in love with a popular celebrity or theme. This is something you might like to incorporate into the proposal. Using sign a path is a romantic idea. The signs could spell out your love for her. Using fairy lights, blankets, blind fold or other props all add to the experience.
5. Photographer: This is an optional idea, it is a great way to capture the moment and relive it. My fiancee and I love looking back at the special day and are so pleased I paid the extra to have the moment captured.
6. Music: some relationships associate music to memories, in our proposal we had no music, as we had the nature of the bush and the waves crashing on the rocks.
7. Incorporating family and/or friends: These people maybe important in your's or your partner's life. Gather a bunch of your family and friends for a party or have them hold signs to lead her through the path to you or have them holding letter in the phase, "Will you marry me?"
8. Time of day: This is an important detail you must never miss! If your proposal is outside don't forget to consider the weather when you are organising the time.
9. Week before: Ensure you make sure everything has been paid for and picked up before the big proposal. This step is a MUST and one that cannot be skipped.
10. Calming the nerves: Waiting, have a beer or two, it helps! This isn't something i'm going to say is easy but unfortunately if you have achieved the other steps then this is the final stage before you can announce your engagement.
It's time to get down on one knee and make this girl your future wife!
All the best with your future of love!
